I am an educator and career development professional with over seven years of experience in skill development, specializing in Soft Skills and Communicative English for young learners. I began my career as a Skill Development Executive with the Additional Skill Acquisition Programme Kerala, a Government of Kerala initiative, where I was selected through a competitive campus recruitment process and trained intensively in Communicative English, Soft Skills, and IT, including the 21-day residential Thousand Splendid Stars programme certified jointly by the Government of Kerala and the British Council. From November 2013 to January 2021, I delivered a structured 180-hour training curriculum to higher secondary students in government schools, covering five core modules: personal skills, social skills, organizational skills, professional skills, and preparing and presenting a project. I integrated Social Emotional Learning principles into every module, helping students develop self-awareness, empathy, effective communication, teamwork, and responsible decision-making. I trained more than 150 students per semester, achieving a success rate of over 90% in enhancing communication and social skills. To strengthen my foundation in psychology and career guidance, I completed an M.Sc. in Psychology from Jain University, Bangalore, in addition to postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in Botany from Kannur University. I hold a Career Counselling Certification from IIT Pravartak BodhBridge, a School Psychologist certificate from the Tamilnadu Psychology Association, a 120-hour International Certificate in Child Psychology, and a 350 hour PG Diploma in International TEFL TESOL with specialization in Teaching Young Learners and Business English, along with further certifications in Learning Disability and DBT practice. Through Pathwise Career and Education, I now provide career counselling, career guidance, and skill development support to students and young professionals. My approach combines psychological insight, SEL-aligned training, and practical communication coaching to help learners build confidence, make informed academic and career choices, and grow into emotionally resilient individuals.
