As a School Counsellor, Wellness Coach, and Special Educator at Colours, I am committed to fostering the holistic development and emotional well-being of every child. Known among students as their Buddy Teacher, I conduct life skills sessions for students from Grades 1 to 10 using the power of storytelling. These interactive sessions create a safe, engaging, and non-judgmental space where children can learn essential social-emotional skills while building trust and confidence in seeking support when needed. A significant part of my role involves working closely with adolescents, guiding them through sensitive emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges. Through counselling and wellness interventions, I help students develop healthy coping strategies, resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation skills.As a trained Special Educator, I support neurodiverse learners within the school environment by identifying their strengths and individual learning needs. I collaborate with teachers to design differentiated assessments and inclusive learning strategies that enable every child to demonstrate their potential effectively. My work also focuses on early identification and intervention for learning disabilities, developmental concerns, and psychological difficulties, ensuring timely support and appropriate accommodations. Working in partnership with educators, parents, and students, I strive to create an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive school culture where every child feels understood, valued, and empowered to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
