Dr Malini Nair - Award-Winning Educator, Academic Leader and Career Development Assessment Practitioner, Dr Malini Nair helps students, graduates and professionals understand their strengths, explore suitable opportunities and make informed education and career decisions. Her approach combines structured career assessment, individual guidance and practical industry insight to develop realistic pathways aligned with each person’s interests, abilities, personality, aspirations and circumstances. With more than two decades of experience across higher education and senior human resource management roles in the UAE and India, Dr Nair brings a valuable understanding of both individual development and employer expectations. She has guided students through career planning, internships, research, innovation projects and the transition from education to employment. As an academic leader, Dr Nair has served as Programme Coordinator and Co-Curriculum Chair, led faculty teams and contributed to the design and development of courses in management, human resources, quality, innovation and entrepreneurship. Her experience in curriculum development enables her to connect educational choices with learning outcomes, employability skills and changing industry requirements. Before moving into higher education, she held senior human resource management positions in the retail and healthcare sectors. As a Group Human Resources Manager in the retail industry, she was instrumental in strengthening organisational quality systems, securing ISO certification and supporting the organisation’s recognition through the Dubai Quality Appreciation Award. This experience developed her practical knowledge of recruitment, competency assessment, employee development, workforce planning and organisational excellence. Dr Nair holds a PhD in Management, an MBA and Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy, UK. She is also a Certified Business Management Educator, Microsoft Certified Educator, Digital Learning Specialist, Agile Scrum Master and a CQI and IRCA-certified ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Lead Auditor. She is the co-founder and lead faculty mentor of the Social Business Impact Club, which has engaged more than 1,500 students in entrepreneurship, sustainability, employability and community-focused initiatives. Her consistent contributions to education, mentoring and the community have received international recognition in consecutive years, including Gold Globee Business Awards, Silver Stevie Awards in, Global Recognition Awards, and Teaching Excellence Awards. A student innovation she mentored was also presented to His Highness,President of the UAE, on World Environment Day. Dr Nair believes that meaningful career guidance begins with listening. She supports every individual with empathy, integrity and respect, helping them move from uncertainty to greater clarity, confidence and purposeful action.
