I am an accomplished Career and University Guidance Counselor with a robust background in psychology, counseling, and educational development. With over two decades of experience in education, I have a proven track record of empowering students to excel academically, socially, and emotionally. My career began with a strong foundation in psychology, studying Military Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand, followed by a diploma in Psychology and Counseling from the International Career Institute UK. Transitioning into education in 1999, I worked as a social and emotional counselor at Sedan Primary in South Africa before moving to the UAE in 2013. In the UAE, I have served in both social and emotional counseling and career guidance roles at leading institutions, including Dubai International School and Next Generation School. Since 2022, I have been shaping the futures of students at Future International Private School Al Ain as a Career and University Guidance Counselor. My approach integrates psychometric testing, student-centered counseling, and strategic university placement planning. My initiatives include enhancing school guidance policies, establishing Model United Nations (MUN) programs, reinvigorating student councils, and organizing university fairs that connect students with prestigious institutions globally. I am particularly adept at placing students in top universities across the GCC, the UAE, the US, and Europe. As a certified professional holding NCDA, GCDF, CCE, and CollegeBoard accreditations, I continuously seek opportunities to expand my expertise.
