Shalini L. M.Sc., M. Phil., Ph. D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology, SGT University, Gurugram, Delhi-NCR, India. Her specialized areas of practice include Psychology, Human Resource Development Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Psychological Assessment, Research, MBSM, ACT and LGBTQ+. She has worked as a Guest Lecturer (Full time) in the Department of Counselling Psychology, University of Madras, India. Also, she supervised M.Sc. and M.Phil. students in their dissertation, project and thesis. Additionally, she is a member of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Shalini L. earned her Ph. D. in Psychology from the University of Madras. She conducted groundbreaking research on the psychological health of transgender and provided psychological care for transgender. So, her Ph. D. thesis titled "Effect of Mindfulness-based Stress Management (MBSM) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) on Quality of Life and Social Anxiety among Transgenders". Most prominently, during her Ph. D., Dr. Shalini L. served twice as a Teaching cum Research fellow in the Department of Counselling Psychology, University of Madras, India. She had made significant contributions to the Department of Counselling Psychology through lectures, professional activities and publications. Also, she had been a guest lecturer (part-timer) for a couple of years (2017- 2019) in the Department of Psychology, Institute of Distance Education University of Madras to explore an extensive range of subjects. She has secured university rank in UG and first-class in post-graduation.
